This painting was inspired by a photo my Daughter-in-law took on a beach vacation and shared with me. It captures the coolness and clarity of the sea.

Painted with acrylics on a stretched canvas. Using custom mixed blues to capture the cool and clear waters of the Caribbean, this painting evokes that feeling of gentle calmness and ocean breezes.
This canvas has an under-painting of Cerulean Blue (one of my all time favorite colors) so that color pops thru the bold pallet knife strokes. This pop of underpainting color gives even more life and energy to this ORIGINAL ACRYLIC painting. I like to use this technique on many of my oils and acrylic paintings as it subtlety provides so much additional depth to the paintings.
This painting is simple and so relaxing to look at.
